To make AutoTempest better, you should...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  2. Good site but could use some sharpening and Clutter removal

    Try offering more practical options in the advanced search tab. I can't search trim levels unless I name them by manufacturer designation. No biggie but kinda sucks.
    Also when a new search is generated the Old query details should be Deleted. I search a Lexus but it answers No Results because the RT trim is left over 4 lines below from my last search. Cmon guys

    This feature is now live on the site! Can be found at the top of the search results page on AutoTempest.com, there’s a subscription form where you can sign up to receive emails for new listings for the current search.

  4. DAF CARS

    DAF made cars in the 1960s and 1970s , there are at least 2 on craigslist , i can't see any way to search for DAF cars on auto tempest

    Good timing. We’re just finishing up an ‘other make’ option. Should be live later today—you can choose ‘other’ from the make dropdown, and enter ‘DAF’ there. (Can also enter a model the same way, in the model dropdown.)

  7. when looking up Is-f it brings up regular Is model not the 5.0 model. There is only one IS-F and it's not coming up in seach.

    Specific model not coming up in search. IS-F is not coming up. Just a bunch of f sport models in the IS series, which is a package not the vehicle. Poor search engine.

  10. Search Exclusion Tagging System

    Add an "excluded from search" feature to slim down irrelevant results. For example, a tagging system. That way, when you search for any car within your budget, but know you don't want a Toyota, you aren't spammed with pages and pages of Toyota RAV4's before you can get to the good stuff.

  11. Craigslist-Vehicle Type

    For example, if I check "wagon" for the vehicle type, the search results are not actually filtered to wagons only. The craigslist results will show every type of vehicle.

    We now have the ability to receive notifications for searches on AutoTempest.com. At the top of the results page there’s a form where you can enter your email address to receive email alerts for that search. We’re working on highlighting new listings for the searches you receive alerts for as well so you can easily locate any new listings for the search you’re receiving alerts for.

    Hemmings listings can now be viewed on AutoTempest.com! They currently display under the source AutoTempest, they’ll have the Hemmings logo on each listing from them.
