To make AutoTempest better, you should...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Improve the Search Engine: links to many pulled ads and it misses other active ads

    Currently a search will show hits for many listings that, when clicked on, have been pulled or are no longer valid. Opposingly, I've had a few searches completely miss active listings that I've found by searching Craigslist directly.

  2. fix the searches for Cars.com - the new autotempest one consistently says "no results found" for cars.com when there are in fact results

    Something is not quite working with Autotempest's ability to search Cars.com. a search for 2005-2007 Mercedes Benz S65 produces this "No results found for CarsDirect, AutoTempest, Cars.com" but if I go directly to Cars.com, do advanced search for S class, and type S65 as a keyword, I find 3 results within 500 miles of Dallas and 31 matches within all miles of Dallas.

  3. Fix transmission filter for Cars.com

    Cars.com currently does not filter for automatic or manual transmissions properly. We'll be fixing this soon!

  4. Bug

    When searching for a Mazda CX-9 the model and modelkw both get the cx9 passed through the URL. However the modelkw is filtering out all but 1 of the Mazda CX-9s that are available.

    I am not sure why this is an issue. It could be that the 67 cars need the key words updated, or the search might need to be an OR on those two.

  5. Site-Wide Audit for AutoTempest: Ensure vehicle image and title information matches

    When you go to this link : https://www.autotempest.com/found-on-autotempest
    The first two sections show the correct picture to corresponding vehicle title and description.

    The last two sections show the incorrect picture to the corresponding description of the vehicle.

    After viewing the source code to the site using the developer tools to pull:

    To correct the mistakes you would need to start by flipping the 1&10 images, then the 2&9, then 3&8, then 4&7, then 5&6 images to correct them. Plus then you would need to correct the order numbers to where it counts down from #10 down to #1.

  6. Only show model asled for

    When searching for a golf r a gti or base model shouldn't be showing up. It would be nice to be able to narrow down the amount of vehicles shown. So that you can find exactly what you want. Thanks for your time.

  7. Fix your search for Mercedes SL Class

    Searching for Mercedes SL Class returns numerous SLK's. That's an entirely different car.

  9. Lexus SC300 SC400

    When you search for the Lexus brand cars your site puts it as Lexus SC 300 when all of the results on craigslist got off of Lexus SC300. That space in the middle needs to be removed.

  10. Manual transmission

    When I try to filter for manual transmission, I'm getting results from Carvana that clearly have automatics.

    Example:

    This issue has been corrected by Carvana. If you still notice any incorrect listings for either automatic or manual transmissions showing when they shouldn’t please let us know.
