Currently, you can only search one model at a time on AutoTempest. We will eventually be adding the ability to search multiple models in one search.

We would definitely like to expand to other geos in the future, and the UK would probably be top of the list. Before that though, we have a number of improvements we want to make to the current site. (In particular, we’ve got some new filters to add, and our model matching isn’t as good as we’d like it to be yet.)
In the meantime, you could try using our other site, www.searchtempest.com. It will let you search craigslist and eBay worldwide. (Although it does use a google custom search rather than direct links to search craigslist outside North America, so it won’t always catch everything.)

Add a tool for searching enthusiast forums
We know that some of the best listings on the web are found in enthusiast forums. Because there are so many of them out there, it would be infeasible to add them all as separate sources to the main AutoTempest search, at least at the moment. We're planning on building a separate search tool to search specifically for ads on enthusiast forums. If you'd like to see this feature added sooner rather than later, vote for it!

Save individual results
It would be great to save interested cars in a workbook to compare and download.

report bad listings
There are too many vehicles listed as manual when they are in fact automatics. This is an extreme annoyance when searching for a manual as you must also go into the listing, instead of just through the search list, and look at pictures to confirm it is truly a manual. It would be a good idea to also request why the report of a bad listing is being made.
14 votesThat’s a good idea. I especially like the idea of flagging wrong transmission type or other wrong info, either for us to review, or maybe to filter automatically somehow (without allowing for abuse). We’ve got a few other things on the go for now, but will definitely keep this in mind.

Allow city, state instead of just zip codes
Please code the basic search line to allow city, state instead of just zip codes. I am looking at buying a used car outside the rust belt and I keep having to a zip code search first.
10 votesThis is something we’re planning to do eventually. Only reason we haven’t done it yet is some other priorities we’re working on first.

Sort by savings on a car / pricing tool
sort by amount of savings. compare listing price with the national average price and display percentage saved by purchasing a given car. this way people looking for the best deal and not necessarily a particular car, could quickly sort through adds.
9 votesThis is not a bad idea! It could end up being more difficult than it’s worth, but we’ll look into it.

I'd Like to see a search by VIN feature where the results are all similar vehicles of the same year or a range of years.
Enter the VIN number in order to populate vehicles that are the same make model (trim and year can be set on a spectrum).

large automotive groups
Hey guys! Curious why your site doesn't hit the 10 largest automotive groups like Penske, Lithia, CarMax, Sonic etc?

Be able to dismiss vehicles that are mislabeled or misrepresented so people don't have to keep moving through those in saved serches.
In a saved search, 60%-70% of the specific trim I'm looking for are misrepresented or mislabeled by the various sellers (dealers and private). It would be nice to be able to dismiss individual cars that pop up in the results so people don't have to sift through them every time. (i.e. Remove this listing from future search updates)
6 votesThis is a feature we're considering, but it's going to be a bit, as we've got a few other things in the pipeline first. (At a minimum we'll need to have user accounts first, so there's somewhere to store the cars you've hidden.)
Regarding that specific search, please consider submitting a support ticket; maybe we can clean up the results.

Currently only 10 saved searches per email, limit needs to be MUCH higher
Currently, I can only have 10 saved searches per email. This is frustrating and convoluted as most car enthusiasts enjoy more than 10 cars. Please allow us to save unlimited or at least 30-50 saved searches.
For example, eBay and Realtor.com allows unlimited saved searches and its so convenient when I get email notifications of a product I've been waiting for comes on sale. OfferUp allows 50 I believe. There shouldn't be a limit for car enthusiasts!

Add Offerup.com as a source
Or code your site to offer other newer or slightly less popular car listing site results if you still can't find the car you're looking for with the core listing sites. I know I've experienced that with AutoTempest and debated whether or not it was really worthwhile for me to keep using AT.

new search is too limited/restricted
Advanced search filters allowed for zeroing in on a desired model & features, now you can only do that for used vehicles. Please add advanced filters to New search.

Add filters for max seating capacity
Please add a filter for number of people the cars seat. With different SUVs with a 3rd row is not always straight fwd if it seats 7 or 8 people.
3 votesWe don't get this from most of our sources either, but it may eventually be possible using a combination of analyzing descriptions, parsing VINs, etc.
