To make AutoTempest better, you should...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    Thanks for the suggestion Carolann! Because of how we search craigslist on SearchTempest, we can’t actually filter craigslist results by price, image, or many of the other filters that are supported directly on craigslist when in SearchTempest’s Combined Results mode. However, if you switch to SearchTempest’s Direct Results mode using the button above the results, you can filter by all the filters that craigslist supports. Direct Results is a little more complicated than Combined Results, but it gives you much more control over the results that you see. Hope that helps!

  4. Let us type in model names, instead of choosing yours.

    Sometimes they are misspelled in the ads and can be found by misspelling them in the search blocks.

    We already have this option actually! On the homepage you can get to it by clicking ‘Advanced Search’ just below the search button. Or if you’re already on the results page, click on “Modify Search” in the sidebar, and then look near the bottom of the search form.

  7. Fix your search for Mercedes SL Class

    Searching for Mercedes SL Class returns numerous SLK's. That's an entirely different car.

    Done. Mini models are a confusing mess right from the factory it seems. (Even they can’t decide whether they have a Mini Countryman, or a Mini Cooper Countryman, or a Mini Countryman Cooper All4, or a Countryman All4, or WHAT, but I’ve made it as consistent as I can!) The Hardtop 4 Door is included.

  16. Separate Montero from Montero Sport: They are not the same...

    When searching for "Montero" all the Montero Sports show up as well as it creates a lot to sift through to find the full-sized Montero's. They're not the same at all.

  17. Lexus SC300 SC400

    When you search for the Lexus brand cars your site puts it as Lexus SC 300 when all of the results on craigslist got off of Lexus SC300. That space in the middle needs to be removed.

  19. Craigslist-Vehicle Type

    For example, if I check "wagon" for the vehicle type, the search results are not actually filtered to wagons only. The craigslist results will show every type of vehicle.
