To make AutoTempest better, you should...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. make it easy to see all alerts registered to an email

    After the recent server crash, I can't tell if many of my searches have gone quiet or were lost. You sent a list of active alerts after the incident, but many of my searches have inexplicably fallen silent. I have no idea which searches are still active. And because I customize the sources, that makes it very difficult to guess the exact parameters saved in a given search. If you embed a .csv of the search parameters in each email, I can figure it out from there. Or let me enter my email on the website and download a .csv…

  2. Hyundai Elantra N search returns Elantra N Line; make matching more explicit.

    Do more to populate database of models, submodels, trim levels or packages so we can request explicitly 1) N or 2) N Line or 3) (N and/or N Line).

  3. Can You add INEOS To vehicle manufacturers. can't search for their cars on your site.

    Add INEOS as new make not available to search currently. Have to go to Car guru or another platform to view them.

  13. Add “Bus” to your Volkswagen Models

    Most people search for VW Bus, not Transporter, etc. Listings are being missed by your site due this. Easy fix!

    This is a bit of a tricky one given that 'Bus' is a nickname, not the actual name, so it wouldn't make sense to add it to our model list.  What we can do is add it to the keywords searched on sites that support that.  Also even though it's not in our list, you can still search for it by typing it into the model box and choosing the "Add: Bus" option.

  14. Site-Wide Audit for AutoTempest: Ensure vehicle image and title information matches

    The first two sections show the correct picture to corresponding vehicle title and description.

    The last two sections show the incorrect picture to the corresponding description of the vehicle.

    After viewing the source code to the site using the developer tools to pull:

    To correct the mistakes you would need to start by flipping the 1&10 images, then the 2&9, then 3&8, then 4&7, then 5&6 images to correct them. Plus then you would need to correct the order numbers to where it counts down from #10 down to #1.

  17. Add "Best Deal" feature similar to CarGurus and Cars.com

    It would be very helpful to have a sorting feature that will sort vehicles by "best deal." This is similar to what is on CarGurus site as well as Cars.com. It would give a rating like "Great Deal," "Good Deal," "Fair Deal," and "Poor Deal."

  20. Manual transmission

    When I try to filter for manual transmission, I'm getting results from Carvana that clearly have automatics.

    This issue has been corrected by Carvana. If you still notice any incorrect listings for either automatic or manual transmissions showing when they shouldn’t please let us know.
