Why do you show search links instead of actual cars for some sources (e.g. craigslist, Facebook etc.)?

We have partnered with a number of top car classified sites, like Cars.com, eBay, Truecar, and more, to show their listings on our results page.

Some other popular sites we don't yet have relationships with, like craigslist, Facebook, and Autotrader.  To help you find all the cars though, we link you directly to the results pages on those sites matching your search.  For sites like craigslist and Facebook that restrict the area you can search, we generate multiple links to cover your entire search area, so you don't have to enter the same search over and over.

One downside to this approach is that since we're just linking you to those sites, we don't have any way to know whether each link actually has results matching your search. (AutoTempest can't actually 'see' those pages.)  So depending on what you're searching for, some of those comparison pages might not have any results.  Regardless, we hope it will save you some time vs visiting each site and entering your search separately!
