Face Prices
Please do not post listing with fake prices just to be at top of the list. It would be pretty easy to implement just filter out new cars with absurd prices ex. 2018 car selling for 700.
4 votesOur search filtering has options that allow setting search filters that can filter out results like these from showing. If there’s any specific fake listings showing up please report them to us and we can work with the source they’re coming from to correct this.

Search Exclusion Tagging System
Add an "excluded from search" feature to slim down irrelevant results. For example, a tagging system. That way, when you search for any car within your budget, but know you don't want a Toyota, you aren't spammed with pages and pages of Toyota RAV4's before you can get to the good stuff.
4 votesThis can be done with negative keywords. Simply put hyphens before your keywords or key phrases like -toyota -“leather seats” to remove any listings with those words or phrases.

Bug
When searching for a Mazda CX-9 the model and modelkw both get the cx9 passed through the URL. However the modelkw is filtering out all but 1 of the Mazda CX-9s that are available.
I am not sure why this is an issue. It could be that the 67 cars need the key words updated, or the search might need to be an OR on those two.

The first two sections show the correct picture to corresponding vehicle title and description.The last two sections show the incorrect picture to the corresponding description of the vehicle.
After viewing the source code to the site using the developer tools to pull:
view-source:https://www.autotempest.com/found-on-autotempestTo correct the mistakes you would need to start by flipping the 1&10 images, then the 2&9, then 3&8, then 4&7, then 5&6 images to correct them. Plus then you would need to correct the order numbers to where it counts down from #10 down to #1.

Add Newer Blog Content
Your blog posts are from one person and all show a date of July 30, 2015. Diversify your writers and get current content or link to current content like hot lease deals for the current month or 5 fun used sedans to get for under $7000, etc. I found your page via tv ad which means you've probably boosted your marketing budget, but don't blow the new lead generation by having old content. It makes the website seem dated even if the search functions are new.
3 votesOur main focus will always be the search tool rather than the blog, but as it happens we just signed on a new blog writer and should have new posts coming out at least every couple of weeks starting in June! (And most of them will be directly related to our core focus of used car buying.) Hope you like it!

fix the searches for Cars.com - the new autotempest one consistently says "no results found" for cars.com when there are in fact results
Something is not quite working with Autotempest's ability to search Cars.com. a search for 2005-2007 Mercedes Benz S65 produces this "No results found for CarsDirect, AutoTempest, Cars.com" but if I go directly to Cars.com, do advanced search for S class, and type S65 as a keyword, I find 3 results within 500 miles of Dallas and 31 matches within all miles of Dallas.

Improve the Search Engine: links to many pulled ads and it misses other active ads
Currently a search will show hits for many listings that, when clicked on, have been pulled or are no longer valid. Opposingly, I've had a few searches completely miss active listings that I've found by searching Craigslist directly.

Add a search text field with auto complete
Add a elastic search field that will autocomplete make and model. This would make searching from a long list of makes and models a lot easier and also reduce the time taken by a user to get from the search page to their search results.

Fix transmission filter for Cars.com
Cars.com currently does not filter for automatic or manual transmissions properly. We'll be fixing this soon!

Filter results to only results posted in the last X days. This filter already exists on SearchTempest.
