To make AutoTempest better, you should...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

    Ah, thanks for pointing that out. We actually shouldn’t list either one, since they’re internal BMW designations. Instead you’ll want to search 3-series and choose the year range you want.

    Filtering by title is now an option on AutoTempest.com. The filter can be found under the Advanced Search on our home page, and alongside the rest of the filters on our results page.

  5. Add Craigslist specific search terms

    Craigslist listings for Ford F-series trucks often do not include the hyphen in the title (i.e. "F250" instead of "F-250"). I suggest adding the non-hyphenated version to the search terms to show all listings available.

  7. Do not include Make in craigslist filters

    I would love to add example screenshots, but all file types are not supported, GIF, PNG, JPEG, BMP - it makes it hard to add relevant screenshots.

    Seems like the craiglist links do not always work. For example the autotempest craigslist link will populate the make and model filter in craigslist. This is a problem because a lot of posters do not list the make, so few results are returned. You can replicate this by searching "excursion" vs. "ford excursion" in the make and model filter. Consider dropping the make when auto-populating CL filters

  8. Manual transmission

    When I try to filter for manual transmission, I'm getting results from Carvana that clearly have automatics.

    Example:

    This issue has been corrected by Carvana. If you still notice any incorrect listings for either automatic or manual transmissions showing when they shouldn’t please let us know.

  11. Add "Best Deal" feature similar to CarGurus and Cars.com

    It would be very helpful to have a sorting feature that will sort vehicles by "best deal." This is similar to what is on CarGurus site as well as Cars.com. It would give a rating like "Great Deal," "Good Deal," "Fair Deal," and "Poor Deal."

  13. Add “Bus” to your Volkswagen Models

    Most people search for VW Bus, not Transporter, etc. Listings are being missed by your site due this. Easy fix!

    This is a bit of a tricky one given that 'Bus' is a nickname, not the actual name, so it wouldn't make sense to add it to our model list.  What we can do is add it to the keywords searched on sites that support that.  Also even though it's not in our list, you can still search for it by typing it into the model box and choosing the "Add: Bus" option.

    The Model year sort only works newest to oldest. Let us sort oldest to newest if we want.
