To make AutoTempest better, you should...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. Please add, if applicable, listings from Car Gurus

    I noticed you don't pull listings from Car Gurus and was wondering why that is?

    Short answer is because we don't have their permission to do so. What we are able to do though is link to Cargurus results matching your search. So if you run a search on AutoTempest, you'll find a link in the 'Comparison' section of the results page to Cargurus (along with several other sites), and if you click that, you'll get their results for the same search, without having to enter anything again. That way we hope to make it convenient to get results from everywhere, even the ones that we're not able to show right on our page.

  2. Cars.com: All private sellers are missing

    The following cars are not listed not AutoTempest:

    All listings have one in common, they are not from dealers but private sellers. Not sure if that is the cause, but I guess it is the cause. This is very confusing because a user of your page thinks the listings from Cars.com is complete and one does not need an additional manual search on Cars.com. Therefore, at least in my case, a lot of cars went missing.

    However, I do not see how it was completed. Or…

  3. Software does give good or even meaniful results

    I just did a search inquiry for a 1982-1987 Toyota Supra, manual trans, at least a starting price of $5000. I got back NOTHING I would consider a relevant result?? (see attached). With all the AI tech out there you probably should incorporate such to yield better results...

    Along with the results that we pull from multiple sources to show you on the autotempest results page, we also link to several other sites to compare what's listed there. One of those is Facebook Marketplace, which is what's shown in your screenshot. We can pass your search on to Facebook (as we did there), but unfortunately we have no control over the results they return. Unfortunately they are known for returning whatever they think you might like, even when it doesn't match your search.

  6. Add 2012-2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302

    Need to add Boss 302 model to the Ford Mustang line up for the following years: 1967, 1969, 1970, 2012, 2013.

    Many sellers will list this as a trim instead of a separate model, so what we suggest is choosing Mustang as the model, then typing boss 302 in the keywords. Should give you what you’re looking for. (Along with entering a range of years, of course.)
