Make a tool to suggest models for people who don't know what vehicles to search for
Not everyone knows what car they're looking for, but they do know what types of cars they're looking for. We thought it'd be cool to have a tool that asks you a couple questions about what you need and want from a car, and then suggests certain models that fit your requirements. Vote for this idea if you think a tool like that would be useful!

Please add “mototempest”
Hi my buddies and I really love your site when we search for cars but recently we have been looking for a specific motorcycle and I came up with the wish of having something like “autotempest” but for motorcycles and calling it “mototempest”. Hopefully sometime in the future you guys can add searches for motorcycles thanks!

3 votesAll Miatas are actually MX-5s, although in North America they're often just referred to as Miata. You can search for any/all Miatas using the "Miata (MX-5)" option under Mazda.

3 votesWe’ve certainly considered it, but thus far haven’t gotten any interest from them in being included on the page. We do have a comparison link to autotrader though, so you can check their matching results with one extra click.

Revert ZIP Codes Field Back to Being Not Required
I used to search though all of the US without even inputting a single ZIP code and would get results from all over the country. Now that it's a required field and in addition to me not living in the US and not knowing any codes it has become a problem to me since I have a hobby of looking up the prices of certain vehicles.
Please think of reverting back or add an "any" option to the field.3 votesThe reason for this change has to do with our partnerships with some suppliers of vehicle listings. You can still choose ‘any’ for the search distance though, in which case we’ll show you whatever vehicles we can find, regardless of the zip code you enter. US zip codes are 5-digit numbers.

3 votesThanks for the suggestion! However, because we aggregate our results from multiple sources, and not all those sources filter for colours or use the same names for colours, it’s unlikely that we will implement this feature. To add to that, many listings use the factory name for the colour, which would make for hundreds of colour options like “forest emerald” and “sandalwood”. You can still filter by colour if you like by entering the colour in the keywords field of your search.

3 votesWe’re generally avoiding adding low-production makes outside of North America to keep the lists from growing too large, but you can still search for these vehicles: just leave the dropdown set to “Any Make”, and enter Noble and the model you’re searching for in the keywords field.

Add Motorcycle Manufacturers to Make selection list!
I see that motorcycle tempest was suggested before and declined, however I hope my suggestion can be helpful and provide a different angle as I see there are no plans to make a moto specific site or features.
So I am a new user and mostly a fan of bikes, I see that a number of motorcycle manufacturers are already listed, such as Triumph and Suzuki to name a few. Those makes are already included on your site and you CAN find cycle results, why not just add the makes for Yamaha, KTM, Harley, etc to please the bike guys…

3 votesFor very uncommon classic makes, rather than adding them to the list, we’re asking users to use the ‘keywords’ field. So leave it set to ‘any make’, and then enter Durant and the model name, if any, under keywords. (You could also use the min and max year fields if you want, to filter out anything newer that might share the same keywords.)
We’re going to make this more intuitive in the future by adding an ‘Other’ option in the make and model fields, which will bring up a separate box to enter the make/model name, but the effect will be basically the same.

We generally don’t list trim levels as separate models. Instead, we recommend searching for the regular model (Taurus), and then using the keywords field to search for the trim (“SHO”). We will be adding a trim keywords field soon to allow you to search for keywords in only the trim and model fields, too.

Add Ford Mustang Fastback
I believe that this models is maybe the most important model mustang has ever made, but I may be wrong. Something I know many people would love to find, it's this car, and I strongly believe it should be added
3 votesYou can already search the Fastback! Just enter Ford Mustang in the make and model fields, and Fastback in the trim field. I would also recommend entering the model year(s).

Add 'titles only' option to AutoTempest main page
Right now the 'titles only' option isn't selectable until on SearchTempest. Unfortunately, selecting this omits the year range previously selected in AutoTempest. This means new AutoTempest/SearchTempest can either search titles only OR a year range, but not both. An example is I cannot search for keyword 'cyclone|montego' 1968-1969 titles only. NOTE: this issue does not exist on old.AutoTempest and switching to the Craigslist tab.
