Fix manual trans filtering
When filtering for manual transmission a lot of the cars that show up on my transmissions.

I just tried a couple of searches with the manual only filter set, and it did appear to be working for me, so your search would really help me track down the problem. Thanks!

Filter out bids
Remove bids and see only sale price when looking for a specific price range.
1 voteUnfortunately the ebay API doesn’t support better filtering by price. that said, you can filter out all auction results by deselecting “eBay Auctions” in the change sources menu, that can be found at the top of the source nav bar near the top of the results page.

1 voteThanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, very few of our sources support filtering by bed length. As a result, we would have difficulties filtering for that ourselves. If we ever find some way to implement this though, we’ll definitely consider it!

Add thumbnail display picture
Have display pictures when listing the Craigslist result. There is no picture currently. A nice little thumbnail would be great.

1 voteThese are already planned. “repeating until it’s functional” is counterproductive, because I have to spend time cleaning up the duplicates instead of working on the site.

Sort by horsepower
Sorting by horsepower.
1 voteThis is a cool idea, but unfortunately not something we’re able to easily do. A single model will have different horsepower depending on engine and trim options, and model year, not all of which we have for every listing, nor do we currently have a database of the horsepower for every possible model/year/trim.

Add a fuel type filter.
2 votesAs it stands, few of our sources support filtering by fuel type, so it’s difficult for us to do it ourselves. However, you can add your desired fuel type as a keyword, which should give you somewhat accurate results.

However, because we aggregate our results from multiple sources, and not all those sources filter for colours or use the same names for colours, it’s unlikely that we will implement this feature. To add to that, many listings use the factory name for the colour, which would make for hundreds of colour options like “forest emerald” and “sandalwood”. You can still filter by colour if you like by entering the colour in the keywords field of your search.

add Hillman to the car list
1 voteWe’re working on adding “comboboxes” instead of the existing dropdowns, which will let you type any make or model you like, as well as selecting from our lists. Until that’s done though, you can work around it by choosing “Any Make” and typing Hillman in the keywords box instead.
Regarding locations, if you’re referring to the craigslist locations that come up on SearchTempest.com, Western NC is listed as Asheville, but it’s the same site. Hope that helps!

Simplify Body Types
Simplify your body types. 2 door. 4 door. Minivan. Station wagon. 2 door SUV. 4 door SUV. Convertible.
1 voteThese are pretty close to our existing list of body types. 2 door = coupe, 4 door = sedan. The others are the same except that we include hatchback as a separate style and don’t differentiate 2-door SUV and 4-door SUV. (I’ve actually never heard of a 2-door SUV!)

Add a "search by state" filter.
It's annoying to register an out of state car here in Ohio. Searching by distance includes out of state results that I don't want to see.

Add 'titles only' option to AutoTempest main page
Right now the 'titles only' option isn't selectable until on SearchTempest. Unfortunately, selecting this omits the year range previously selected in AutoTempest. This means new AutoTempest/SearchTempest can either search titles only OR a year range, but not both. An example is I cannot search for keyword 'cyclone|montego' 1968-1969 titles only. NOTE: this issue does not exist on old.AutoTempest and switching to the Craigslist tab.
